Charleston South Carolina

On December 27 my sisters and 2 of my nieces left early that morning to go to Charleston South Carolina.Talk about a good time we had the best of the best. We enjoyed everything about the trip even the long van ride. We were so lucky we had a condo right on the beach and we enjoyed just having to walk right out to the water and the sand. If it had just been a little warmer it would have really been nice. We got to see and do so much. The water was to cold for me to get into but my nieces braved the cold water and got in. We enjoyed all the sight seeing we did. Especially enjoyed The Battery and the Market Place. We spent New years Eve there so I got to see 2010 before you guys did.. .. We had a wonderful time and I would love to go back and do things that we didn't have the time to do. (Maybe just be a little warmwer). HOPEFULLY maybe we can do that trip again. LOVE spending time with my sisters and neices.

Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 has come and gone. Can't belive how fast the year went. We had so much to be thankful for and of course we had sadness also. God has a reason for everything that happens in our lives. We must always THANK him not just for the good times but for everything we do. We have a wonderful family and are so thankful we have our health and a great place to live. Having GOD in our lives is a blessing. Our granddaughters bring so much joy to our lives. Don't know what we would do without being a big part of their lives. Love spending time with them. Ella Kate is 4 years old. Can't belive she will be starting school. Seems like only yeasterday that I held that little bundle of joy in my arms for the first time. Gracyn is 3 and is growing so fast. I love having her at my house. We always have so much fun. She loves playing just about anything. She is such a wonderful little girl. She got a puppy for Christmas and I know it will be good for her and she will really enjoy having it. Then we have the twins Addie and Ava now talk about double trouble (just kidding) They are good kids. They love to play and they play good together. Love spending time with them they can make me laugh so much by the things they do and say. They love spending time with Ella Kate and playing with her. Of course they do their share of fussing. All three of them love spending time with Gracyn and constanly talk about her. Wish they could be together more. I sure do love these little precious girls. Tnen we have a new baby in the family. Jerry's nephew Jared and his wife Peggy have a wonderful little boy Grady. He is a joy to watch and see him grow. By next year he will know what Christmas is and will be something to see. This past year we lost Jerry's day. That was a sad time but life goes on. Just have to know he is in a good place. AS the pics show we enjoyed our Christmas. I just hope and pray 2010 will be as good as 2009. That we have our health and GOd blesses us with what we need. May GOD be with us and you in the coming year.

Pretty things

Here is two of my favorite things. Of course this would be, I love snowmen. If they hand't been so expensive I would have bought these for my collection. My husband tells me I don't need anymore since I have so many already. But they sure was pretty.

Ava saying ok now I will show you how to play this game.
Ava showing them how this game is played.

Golf

Here is 3 future golf players. Needless to say their daddy was proud that they enjoyed this.

Santa

Ella Kate taking time out to talk to santa.Addie and Ava having fun on the merry go round.

Pretty faces

On the Wednesday before Thankgiving we went to Knoxville to the Fantasy Of Trees. They have beautiful trees and all kinds of Christmas stuff. They had more than 350 designer decorated trees and other seasonal items. If you have never been this is one trip I highly recommend. They have a lot of things for kids to do. My bunch enjoyed having faces painted. As you can see Ella Kate is proud of her Christmas tree. Addie and Ava had snowmen. They were so excited to do this. They had rides for the kids as well as all kinds of games for them to do. They also have an indoor Christams parade. This is really something to see. They have beautiful decorated gingerbread houses you can buy. We didn't buy one but the girls wanted to. It is just something to see. This is the 2nd year we have been and both times I was amased at how this comes together.

A little scared

Ella Kate decided it was time to ride on the tractor after Ava decided she was going to ride. She is not really sure this is what she wants to do. But after a while she didn't want to get off. It takes her a while to get use to something new. She will try anything that she wants to do but if you want her to do something she usually don't want to.. She loves to be outside .

Ava on the tractor.

Pa giving driving lessons

Ava and Ella Kate taking time out to have some serious tractor time. This is the first time they have been on the tractor. Ava loved it and as you can see Ella Kate is not sure about this. Took her a minute to do this.

Play time

A couple weeks ago the girls spent the week-end with us . We went down to the lake and they enjoyed throwing rocks in the water. They had so much fun. They always want to go to the lake My happiness is seeing them so happy and healthy. I feel like such a lucky person to have my grandkids in my life.

Final Walk

In life we live and there comes a time when we are called home to be with the Lord. So on October 26 Jerry's dad Herbert Sells passed away. He was 95 years old. He was a great Father, Father-in-law, Papa,a Great Papa and also a brother. He had many many friends in life and everywhere he went he always enjoyed talking to them. He always had something to talk about. My son-in-laws always enjoyed sitting down and listening to him tell them things. He always loved life and loved his family. He was a good christen man.For the last couple of years his health had gradually gotten worse and the Lord decided his time on earth was over and he called him home. In life he had seen so many different changes take place. He lived through them and lived a long life. In life he loved his family his home and his farm, but his one love was raising horses. He raised 99 colts and he wanted that 100th but it just wasn't to be. Because of this love his Grandson Josh payed his Papa the greatest tribute he could think of, he had his Papa's body carried to the final destination in a wagon that Herbert had built himself and pulled by a beautiful pair of horses. If Herbert could have told you he would have said this would have been the way he wanted his final ride to be and he would have been so happy. Josh we all love you for thinking of this and paying this tribute to him. He will be missed so much by his family, but we know he is home now with the Lord.
